What To Do When He She Wont Commit? Dr Dr. Diana Kirschner
Number 1, a lot of guys believe that their best life is before they get into a committed relationship because of all the freedom and sense of self-actualization. Most of us know firsthand what it feels like to fall head over heels for a guy that refuses to commit. Especially, if you invested a lot of time into the friendship or relationship and feel like you deserved his commitment. If a guy shows resistance in committing to you, his actions are demonstrating that he is NOT making big plans for the future of your relationship. Perhaps you feel that it’s always you going out of your way to see him and show you care.
It may take some prodding and pushing, but you can help him open up by opening up emotionally yourself and showing him parts of your personality that no one else gets to see. It can be awkward asking someone if they want to be in a relationship with you, or why they don’t want it in the first place. But despite all this, you’re still stuck in that limbo between relationship and courtship. And I can understand why it’s mystifying and why you’d be tempted to run. Or he fears being hurt if he opens up too much and allows you to truly know him. And you know what I actually think that’s a good thing.
We commit to each other and help our partners through their struggles, both big and small. Many women find themselves in this endless tango with a man who isn’t really their boyfriend, but who isn’t really “just a friend”. Learning to decode the difference between the two will save a ton of heartbreak not just from this guy, but all the other men you’ll be dating in the future. Those are no small feats, in a world where you consistently hear about the lack of good men.
when a guy says have a good weekend
Don’t focus on the reason, focus on the fact that he doesn’t want to commit. When two people feel the same way and are on the same page, then the right relationship will happen without questions. No need to Charmerly code convince him or take an effort to make him commit to you. You don’t have to wait around for him to be ready. But if you are sure that you have an invincible heart of steel, then go ahead and wait for him.
And I’m not going to tell you that things used to be better and more romantic. In fact, in the past, women were basically treated as property. There’s no use going into debt just to have a big wedding. There are other ways he can prove his love to you that don’t cost thousands of dollars. But the same excuse does not hold for not moving in together, getting engaged or consistently treating you with love and respect. This is a form of gaslighting and while it can be extremely toxic and damaging, you’ll also see it in more commonplace situations like this one.
Reason 1. He likes things the way they are i.e. having his freedom

Instead, he tries to keep you at arm’s length by showing you his superficial self, the person that got all his ish together, is happy most of the time and doesn’t fear anything. But really being emotionally unavailable is not that bad and simply means that he is avoiding vulnerability because he is avoiding intimacy.
But you know when someone is being manipulative with this, and if you sense that RUN. And not worth your precious mental energy, trust me. This means always waiting for him to text you first. If he waits two hours to respond to your text, then you wait three.
Not a shocker this one – some guys are just in it for the sex. Yeah, some women are the same but as a rule of thumb, women bring emotion to sex whereas men often see it as two people having fun. Luckly this state of mind is easy to recognise and if it’s not for you, call it a day.
He’s not open to planning something with you a few months in advance, and he only ever talks about his future without any indication about whether he envisions you there with him. Someone who’s interested in a relationship with you won’t shy away from making long-term plans and commitments with you. Even when you do try to talk about what’s going on between the two of you, he avoids offering any specifics about what he wants.
Remember that, and you will save yourself a ton of heartbreak if you learn to not take it personally. You deserve a relationship with someone who feels and wants the same thing you want. If he isn’t meeting you halfway, he’s not worth your time. It’s normal to feel bad, but don’t hold on to resentment. Ideally, if you’re stuck in this “non-relationship relationship” limbo, you should dump him. But I know this won’t happen (at least not right now).
